Welcome to the Capitol of Texas Rotary Club!

*Service Above Self*

Come help us leave our corner of the world better than we found it.

Club History

The Capitol of Texas Rotary Club is the only Rotary Club in the United States that meets on the grounds of a state capitol. Our group began meeting in March 2001 and we were inducted as a club by Rotary International on September 11, 2002.

The Capitol of Texas Rotary Club is a warm and welcoming group known for an excellent speakers program. We also celebrate together with an annual Spring Fling, Fall Cabal, and Holiday Carnival.

Capitol of Texas Rotary is a 100% Sustaining Member and 100% Paul Harris Fellow Club. Annual dues are $180, much of which goes to local and international philanthropy projects. Our club is in Rotary District 5870.

Rotary International

Rotary is a global network of community volunteers. Rotary members are business and professional leaders who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

Some 31,000 Rotary clubs in more than 165 countries carry out service projects in their local communities and abroad to address such critical issues as poverty, health, hunger, illiteracy, and the environment.

Mission

The object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

  • The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
  • High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying by each Rotarian of his occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
  • The application of the ideal of service by every Rotarian to his personal, business and community life;
  • The advancement of international understanding, good will, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional women and men united in the ideal of service.
